Content Strategist

We’re looking for creative experts who can take an idea and figure out multiple ways for it to live by creating content across all social and digital channels.

Job Description

The content strategist will work with account teams to develop and execute plans to use content across marketing channels to drive business results. With experience in all types of content (such as copywriting, photography, videography and design), the content strategist will be able to guide teams and work under tight deadlines.

Requirements/Qualifications

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic counsel to clients to help them understand the benefits of strong social/digital content
• Work closely with account teams to understand the client’s business goals and create solutions to meet those goals across social and digital channels
• Collaborate with creative teams to produce content, often on newsroom-like deadlines
• Lead teams under tight deadlines to produce high-quality content
• Make strategic recommendations on how to use content across channels, including paid amplification
• Identify real-time marketing and influencer engagement opportunities to get brands involved in larger pop culture conversations through social listening
• Create budget estimates for assignments
• Work with executive leadership to produce case studies showcasing content capabilities and how they drove business results
• Supervise content specialist and provide support to multiple accounts

Required Education, Experience & Skills:

• 3-7 years of experience working on content creation and strategy in an agency, corporate or editorial setting
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and various methods of content creation (copywriting, photography, videography, design)
• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Excellent communication skills, including presenting to account teams and client teams
• On top of content marketing and social/digital content and real-time marketing trends, with an appetite to produce news type of work and take on new challenges

Job Description

The social engagement strategist can see big-picture planning as well as minute-by-minute tweets and knows how to tie the two together to deliver creative and strategic insights to clients. Excited by real-time content opportunities as well as long-term planning, they always have a pulse on how every piece of content ties back to a larger strategy. They also knew about that trending hashtag two hours before you did and have six ideas for how their accounts can leverage them. 

Requirements/Qualifications

Education:

- A bachelor's degree in journalism, advertising, public relations or a closely related field

Skills and Experience:

- A minimum of 5-7 years of social/digital marketing, public relations or relevant work experience in one of the following areas: prior agency, communications or media
